2: How does ID Vault protect me from phishing?
Guard ID Systems maintains the ID Vault Trusted Network of more than 7,000 financial Web sites and 500 top shopping Web sites. We constantly
monitor each and every site in the ID Vault Trusted Network to verify and validate IP addresses and sign-in protocols, ensuring that the Web sites
you access are legitimate. ID Vault simply won't allow you to unknowingly sign in to an imposter site designed to steal your online identity and your
assets.
3: How does ID Vault protect me from spyware and keystroke loggers?
Since ID Vault automatically signs you in to your favorite sites, you don't type in your usernames and passwords. And since you're not typing,
keystroke loggers can't capture and steal your log in information.
4: How do I set up ID Vault?
ID Vault can be set up in minutes by following these simple steps:
Install the ID Vault software.
Plug your ID Vault into your USB port.
Secure access to your ID Vault by choosing a Personal Information Number (PIN).
Personalize your ID Vault by assigning a name to it, such as "John's ID Vault."
Now that ID Vault is set up, you are ready to add your online accounts to ID Vault.
5: Can I use ID Vault with my non-financial accounts, like email accounts?
Yes! ID Vault works with any site that requires a username and password to sign in. In fact, many of our users find ID Vault so convenient and easy
to use, they use it with all their favorite sites that require signing in. ID Vault encrypts and stores usernames and passwords for up to 100 different
online accounts.
6: How do I log on to my accounts with ID Vault?
Accessing your accounts with ID Vault is a simple process.
Plug ID Vault in your USB drive
Choose the account you want to access from the ID Vault Account menu.
Enter your ID Vault PIN to unlock your sign in credentials.
ID Vault automatically launches your browser and securely signs you in to your account.
Of course, you are always able to log in to your accounts without using ID Vault, but you won't be secure.
7: What happens if my ID Vault is lost or stolen?
Don't worry, you can still log on to your accounts the standard way, though you won't be as secure. And, similar to an ATM card, only you know the
PIN that unlocks your ID Vault, so no one else can use it.
8: Will ID Vault work outside of the United States?
ID Vault currently works only with U.S.-based financial institutions, or institutions with major presences in the United States.
9: The first twelve months of the ID Vault Subscription Service are free. How much does it cost to renew my subscription? Can I still
use ID Vault if I don't renew?
Although the first twelve months of the ID Vault Service are free with the purchase of ID Vault, you must renew your ID Vault Service subscription in
order to be protected by our guarantee beyond the one-year period from the date of purchase. The ID Vault Service gives you access to our
Trusted Network of more than 7,000 financial sites that we constantly monitor to protect you against phishing and pharming, any updates to the ID
Vault Trusted Network, and free ID Vault software updates and upgrades.
The subscription ensures uninterrupted access to the ID Vault Trusted Network, along with continued free software updates. After this initial
twelve-month period, the cost to continue your subscription to the ID Vault Service is $39.95/year.
If you choose not to renew your subscription to the ID Vault Service, you will no longer be able to use ID Vault to access financial institutions in the
ID Vault Trusted Network. And of course, our guarantee no longer applies because you no longer have ID Vault's hardened security protecting you
when you bank, shop and invest online. You will, however, still be able to use ID Vault to access your non-financial accounts, such as email
accounts. And, of course, you can always access your financial accounts without ID Vault, but you will not have the protection that ID Vault offers.
